FOUR-STAR READ

My Thoughts:  My usual read involves a bit more conflict, and hair-raising situations.  Nevertheless, this read was sweet, catching me off guard, as I am lulled into the warmth of a love any woman would seek in marriage.  I could see this story as a strong novella,  without little conflict, it seemed a bit long.

The read is very mild in the conflict area, although it has very wonderful characters who propel the story forward, engaging your heart.

Lizabella fell in love with the brother of whom she actually marries. The child she carries is Michael’s, killed at Battle of Waterloo. Michael’s brother, a viscount, loves his brother and wishes his child not to be a bastard.  Therefore, Marcus, marries her. After marriage to Lizabella, very slowly , he engages himself to seeks a loving relationship.  He doesn’t want a marriage of convenience.  His heart tells him he wants a marriage of love. Is he able to obtain her love?  He knows he’s attracted to her.  She’s such a beautiful woman, inside and out, as the reader learns. But she loves Michael and the question is, can she let it go and move forward?

The story is character-driven, dealing with emotions hard to control.  Marcus is an exceptional man.  Lizabella hasn’t a bad bone in her body.  The story will fill you with the sweet nature of love blossoming in hearts pure.
