Synopsis: Where the past is real, when the impossible becomes possible and dreams21761240 come true…literally.

When Aedan is denied his soul mate that fateful Beltane night, he is given the gift of immortality, permitting him to wait for her prophesied return. Reunited after eleven-hundred years, he is disheartened to learn his true love holds no memory of him.

Wishing for a distraction from the winter doldrums, Aislinn never expects to be caught up in a whirlwind of magic and danger with a man she has spent her whole life dreaming about. What he asks of her tests the very reality she holds dear.

Now, as Beltane approaches, and with time running out, Aedan and Aislinn must reach Ireland to pledge their love to one another. But in order to live out their destinies, they must overcome an ancient foe determined to see an end to their fated love.

Eleven hundred years he waited for her. He could lose her in a single moment.

My Thoughts: This was a very emotional, sensual and powerfully moving story. I love it when the past touches the present. This had the feel of time travel (I LOVE time travel), but Aedan hadn’t traveled time he lived it—all 1100 years of it. What a patient man! He had loved his Aislinn of the 9th century with the love of a druid and passion that knew no bounds. He was told by the Lady Goddess that he would reconnect with her in the future and he did – the 21st century. This spritely, independent woman struggles to understand why she is so drawn to Aedan and why Aedan is pursuing her so adamantly.

As readers we so often dream of those days long past and live them when the author’s words create believable events in a believable world. So much of this story conjures up the old magic which our present lives don’t touch. But isn’t it wonderful when an author can make you feel the old ways still exist and the Lady Goddess still has her place?

Angela Aaron did just that for me! Her narrator, Hollie Jackson, was a great selection for this book. Aislinn is very American in her dialog while Aedan moves from a light Irish brogue to one heavier as we move deeper into the tale. I always knew who was speaking. There were exquisite scenes of passion which Hollie carried off very well and were again quite believable.

The story moved along at a good clip, no slow spots. Where the story demanded the pace change, Ms. Jackson made the shift effortlessly. She is very much a story-teller. I was moved several times so much so that tears pooled in my eyes. This audio satisfied my every desire to listen to a romantic suspenseful story. It tugged my heartstrings producing a myriad of emotion.

In my idea of a happy ever after story, this satisfied me completely after taking me through the emotional wringer. I kept thinking what Aedan and Aislinn once had—their love, far beyond the norm—had been lost because of the evil machinations of Aedan’s brother going far beyond the pale.

This is an excellent, exciting, romantic and passionate story of a love that spans forever, of greed and jealousy in full pursuit.

Angela Aaron Profile Pic 4About the Author: Angela Aaron’s love affair with writing began at nine years old when inspired by the “will they ever be together” relationship between Candy and Jeremy on “Here Comes The Brides.” She filled notebook after notebook of “happily-ever-afters” for these characters. She hasn’t stopped writing since. Angie’s true love has always been romance and erotic romance with lots of sizzling moments between her characters and a happily ever after ending.

Angie is from the Midwest. She is a mother, works full time, and includes her rescued dogs as part of the family. Angie is extremely down to earth, and hates phony people. Angie has to be outdoors as much as possible and finds her inspiration from the lakes and forests which surround her. She loves the moon and night time. She is an “autumn.” She loves chocolate, a good romance and bag pipe music. She loves fantasy and believes in magic.

Angie’s Books include Pleasure Island and The Fire of Beltane and soon-to-released The Guardian — Shadowstone Legend.

Taking her own love of storytelling, not just for her own work, but that of others, Hollie (aka Narratrix) found her true calling in the vocal booth. With a range that goes from the innocent to the risqué, across all genres, Hollie’s voice brings characters of all types to vibrant, compelling life, letting you sit back and allow the words to wrap around you.

She grew up getting lost in the world of poetry and prose, and truly enjoys sharing that with others through spoken word. Stories are, after all, meant to be spread by any means necessary, right?
Everyone has a story to tell…and Hollie loves to bring those stories to life, one word at a time.
